The Christian Brothers Midwest District seeks an Associate Director of Annual Giving responsible for managing all aspects of a thriving annual giving program involving the planning and implementation of strategies for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors. This position will guide the direct mail and digital solicitation strategy and manage annual giving to the Midwest District. The Associate Director will focus on strategically expanding the organization's annual giving program with a goal of significantly increasing the base of annual gifts through frontline prospect and donor management, including key donors contributing gifts of $1,000 or more. The Associate Director of Annual Giving reports directly to the Director of Development and is a key member of the development team.
This position is full-time with on-site, remote and travel flexibility. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications; Attractive Benefits Package includes: Medical, Dental, Vision; Retirement Contributions; PTO. Travel restricted primarily to Illinois with other Midwest locations, as necessary.
The Christian Brothers Midwest District is one of four Districts in the Lasallian Region of North America encompassing seven states and including 3 universities, 13 high schools, 3 middle schools, 4 retreat centers, 2 publishing houses, and 1 Provincialate Office. The District is home to 110 Christian Brothers who have dedicated their lives to the education and care of others. In addition to these Brothers, the District benefits from the dedication of over 4,000 lay partners to carry out the Lasallian mission.

Qualifications: |
Education, Experience, Skills, and Mindset Required:
· Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years of relevant experience; Advanced Degree or Professional Certification (CFRE) Preferred
· Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful annual fundraising strategies with proven results
· Ability to collect, organize and analyze data related to donor giving
· Well versed in direct mail and digital solicitation best practices and implementation
· Proficient in donor database formats; knowledge of DonorPerfect a plus
· Working understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Apps (Gmail, docs, sheets, calendar)
· Exceptional organizational, listening, writing, and verbal communications skills
· Must be strategic and forward thinking
· Personal drive and motivation to grow the program annually and achieve goals; a self-starter
· The ability to take direction and multi-task
· Positive attitude and passion for playing a significant role in advancing the Lasallian mission
· Considerable knowledge of fundraising techniques and sources of funding
· Ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
· Collegial and respectful of others
· Must have valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to attend outside meetings
· Must be physically able to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods of time and be able to lift items of 25-50 pounds
· Attend and assist with fundraising events and other duties as assigned
