Our Risk Management Services Division has a full-time opening for a Business Analyst. This position serves as a resource to the RMS Division to assist in improving processes, products, and services through data analysis and software, understanding the IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and facilitating communication between ITS, vendors, and the RMS division.
Job Duties
· Serve as liaison between the RMS Division and ITS Division on a daily basis to ensure the business technical needs are documented, understood, and delivered. Meet with ITS periodically to review open software design & development (D&D) work, upcoming divisional initiatives, and identify potential issues. Transcribe and distribute meeting summaries. Inform ITS of any new divisional priorities or potential deadline conflicts. Escalate potential problems to ITS.
· Serve as Business Process Super User: Document and maintain all business processes within the RMS Division. Understand how they interact with the systems implemented and support divisional questions as it relates to the technology being used.
· Serve as Business Systems Analyst to gather and define business requirements, business process flows, and business rules as projects and change requests are initiated by the business units. Develop functional specifications necessary for ITS to successfully complete their task list and estimate the project. Ensure that the request is necessary, solution is feasible, and scope of work is aligned with RMS Division’s needs. Perform User Acceptance Testing on all requests and issues prior to being implemented. Assist in training RMS team on all system changes.
· Project management for the RMS Division by overseeing all aspects of the SDLC from concept through final live implementation. On a weekly basis, review active projects to ensure we stay within budget and deadlines are being met. For recurring annual projects, schedule project meetings, and create task lists, project calendars, and issue logs to keep the projects on track.
· Complete required project documentation to track project progress, create allocations, and understand prior development. On a daily basis, update project statuses. On a weekly basis, enter project work log notes.
· Assist with special projects as needed.
