Fire hazards are conditions that may create or increase the probability of a fire. To eliminate fire hazards, take the following actions:
1. Keep passageways and exits clear.
2. Maintain access to fire fighting equipment such as extinguishers, hoses, cabinets and fire protection
systems.
3. Enforce “No Smoking” regulations.
4. Never leave candles burning in a room unattended.
5. Use electrical equipment safely and keep it in good repair.
6. Never leave items cooking on stoves unattended and maintain stoves and ovens are clean and free of
grease residue.
7. Properly store flammable and combustible materials.
8. Report any apparent unsafe conditions that might result in fire.
9. Take care to disconnect irons after use.
10. Use interior finishes that meet life safety codes.
