Effective January 1, 2023, Kroger Pharmacies, will no longer be part of the Express Scripts network of pharmacies we offer to you. We will make sure that any member who uses Kroger today has a convenient, cost-effective option available.
Kroger has been unwilling to agree to Express Scripts standard terms and conditions, including market competitive rates, for Express Scripts standard networks. If Express Scripts were to allow Kroger to remain in our standard networks with their current terms and rates, Express Scripts clients would pay more for pharmacy services than other comparable pharmacies in their networks.
Express Scripts, the company that manages the prescription plans for Christian Brothers Services, is committed to offering the highest member experience during potential disruption.
Prescriptions will not be covered by your plan if filled at the pharmacies listed below. If you continue to fill prescriptions at these pharmacies, you may pay a higher cost for your medication.
What You Need to Do
To avoid any interruption in your treatment, transfer your prescription before January 1, 2023. Visit express-scripts.com/findapharmacy for a full list of in-network pharmacies near you.
It’s easy to move your prescription. Here are 3 ways to make the switch:
1. Take your prescription bottle to your new pharmacy and they’ll contact your current pharmacy to transfer your prescription.
2. Call your new pharmacy and ask them to transfer your prescription.
3. Ask your doctor to contact your new pharmacy with your prescription information.
This applies to Kroger-owned pharmacies ONLY. At this time a merger between Albertson and Kroger is still under review. Albertson's pharmacies will remain under contract with Express Scripts and will not be affected by the Kroger decision to leave the Express Scripts network.
