Tired of guessing which funds to choose for your retirement plan?
Investing for retirement can be confusing – without proper guidance, some people often end up guessing when it comes to choosing funds for retirement. You can reduce the uncertainty of selecting funds by investing your retirement plan assets in a “one decision” Vanguard Target Retirement Fund. When you invest in a Target Retirement Fund, you’re entrusting your savings to a firm with more than three decades of fund management expertise.
Target Retirement Funds Simplify Investing
Vanguard Target Retirement Funds help take the guesswork out of investing. Simply choose the date-specific closest to the year you expect to retire. You may pick from the following: Vanguard Target Retirement 2055, 2050, 2045, 2040, 2035, 2030, 2025, 2020, 2015, 2010 or 2005 Fund. As that date approaches, your fund will gradually and automatically shift from more aggressive investments (stocks) to more conservative ones (bonds and short-term reserves). Or, if you’re already retired, choose Vanguard Target Retirement Income Fund, which maintains a conservative investment mix appropriate for retirees. No matter what your age, you’ll be invested appropriately given your time to retire.
Although Target Retirement Funds can simplify investing, all mutual fund investing is subject to risk. Diversification does not ensure a profit or protect against a loss in a declining market. Each Target Retirement Fund invests in up to seven broadly diversified Vanguard funds and is subject to the risks associated with those underlying funds.
