Term: Non-Certification
A decision by the Cost Containment Administrator that an admission, continued stay, or other health care service has been reviewed and based upon the information provided, does not meet the Cost Containment Administrator's requirements for Medically Necessary care, appropriateness, health care setting level of care or effectiveness, and the request is therefore denied, reduced, or terminated.
